Gucci Spring-Summer 2012 Collection
Frida Giannini designs Art Deco inspired clothes for a confident, elegant and precious woman: details are in gold, the metal mesh clink and the silhouette is essential
A self-confident woman rides the Gucci runway and life. Chic, golden, sparkling and sensual, but not femme fatal, even with an androgynous charm almost haughty and hard rockers, so Frida Giannini sees the women on 2012 spring-summer fashion.
All outfits are characterized by a hardness graphics and color contrasts that leave you breathless and express a great personality. Embroidery on the clothes appear as a mirror of the city skyline, handcrafted with 3D effects and metal chains. Males looks alternate with Art Deco female look, as on the DNA of the brand; we found women with soft shaped high-waisted trousers, frogged and thin jackets with a navy tuxedos reference and women with pleated and slipped low-waist dress.
For the daytime, the emerald green and tangerine are the must-have colors that fit in a palette of basic tradition formed by white, black and gold.
The fantasies alternate degradè geometric patterns with a moving optical effects, while the coconut is drawn by wire to form three-dimensional games and the animal is glamorous version of a zebra or a tiger.
For the evening, the gold is king with fringes, crystals, embroidery and metal chains in a cutting-edge almost robotic hi-hat effect.
